What type of USB are you using. Not all drives are compatible.

You did format the USB as FAT32?

Unless you want spammers, I would edit your email out of your post.

I am using WD 120GB external. I tried to copy more than 2 PS2 games to it, but USBAdvance can not see games that i loaded to (using USBextreme). First it said no games in list, then after i hitted X, it showed error: You need to BACKUP tilte to your game list first.
I have some more questions:
- After I load 1 PS2 game to HDD, can I put those files to the folder (name is the game name) and then load other games in different folders?
- How can I load and play PS1 game to that HDD too?
- How can I load and play NES?

Sorry for asking too many questions. If you have time, pls give me some words.

Many thanks bro

You have to load the games to the hdd on the root of the drive using USBEXtreme utility or the latest USB Utility V2

http://psx-scene.com/forums/showthread.php?t=59785

They are not in folders, they are in a special format for USBAdvance to see.

As for NES or any other emulator, you can just store your rom files in a folder called 'roms' on the USB drive.

There is a few that support USB drives.

You can find emulators here - link

Thanks so much bro!
But i still get error: You need to BACKUP title to the game list first.
I loaded 4 games (Lego StarWar II, Spiderman, Transformers, Sonic plus), no games showed on menu.
What I did wrong? Please help.

Thanks again bro

And one more thing. Can PS1 games will be played on PS2 using the same method?

When you loaded those 4 games using USBExtreme or whatever method, did you enter a 'game title' where it says 'game1'

And did they appear below in the 'game Installed list'

No, PS1 games can't be played on USB or HDD.

If you have a slim PS2 and fmcb 1.8 installed you can play PS1 backups by using uLe - check my profile or search the forum.

If you have a V9 PS2, you can use uLaunch.elf to play PS1 backups.
launchUle
set "disc control ON" in the settings
let uLaunchElf STOP the your triggerdisc in the drive
use a slide tool for swapping your triggerdisc for the backup
go to "filebrowser=>MISC=>PS2Browser"
You'll be redirected to the standard PS2 browser in which you'll see the "PSx cd" icon.
Select it, play your backup!

And if you have a V9 or higher , you can also use psxlauncher.elf to play PS1 backups.

Hi, all. Having a somewhat similar problem. I used HDAdvance to back up a bunch of games to my PS2 HDD. When my PS2 crapped out, I bought a slim PS2 and USBextreme. My question is this: how do I get the back ups from the HDD to my new USB? I used WinHiip to extract the images from the HDD and copied them to the USB drive, but USBExtreme says it does not see any of the games. Kinda stumped on this one...it recognizes the attached drive, but not any of the game images. Any thoughts? Thanks for your time.

ISO images won't work on USB external drive. They need to be in a certain format.

Just use the links in this post to copy and play games off the usb hdd.including a new USBAdvance loader.elf
