my problem is that the lens of my PS2 is not already working.
I do have a
-HDD 40GB
-Network Adaptor
-Matrix chip install on the PS2 board.
I have managed to install games to my HDD using winhiip that's about 9 games.
How can i boot the games I installed without using any DVDr or CDr.
I know that the only way i can load the games is by using a HD launcher/ HD Advance but where will i install this??
I try installing it like the way i install the games. I install it to my HDD but when i turn my PS2 on the matrix logo showed but after which i only got a black screen.
please help me. i already did everything. I've been removing and attaching my PS2 HDD from the PS2 and enclosure many times already because the HD Loader/HD advance won't work.
Well first are you sure your laser is gone. Does it light up at all?
Have you tried to clean it?
You only really have a couple of choices if your laser won't work.
1. Is to find someone else with an exploited PS2 and have them install Dev 2 - it explains in the tutorial - link Read the section - Installing DEV2 with a non working laser
Or you can get a Volunteer to install fmcb 1.8 to your memory card.

Yah, the laser is really gone. I have sent it to a PS2 technician last week and he diagnosed that the laser and the board is already not functioning so he ask if i want to make use of my HDD which will be needing a Matrix. I think it would be cool if my games be install on the HDD so I agree. He replace the board ang soldered the Matrix chip. He Places his HDD on my PS2 and it worked well. The gamelist showed. I asked him what software did he use but he said it is the business of his friend and if i want to install games on my HDD i will pay Php.40 per game. I have already paid so much for the rapair. I don't want to waste any cents.

I try the method 1 but still after the Matrix logo showed i have seen only a black screen.
