If the game runs slow, it could be the type of media you burned it on or the speed you burned it at.
You can also use ESR r9b direct dvdv elf to play backups. The ISO just needs to be patched before you burn it using esr .24a patch.

TOC is the size of the disc.
So in order to swap properly, you need too use a Swap disc that is of the same size or larger.

Okay so I put GT3 in my computer and check the size and it says 3.63gb then I put in g-savior (the backup) and it reads 1.45gb so okay this game is a liitle off from being half of gt3 so i cog swap and boom still lags now the only game i know that works but i sold it and it was burnout dominator so now im really confused but then i look it up and its possible to compress a ps2 dvd to a ps2 cd size (700mb) but my question now is will it boot using swap magic cd loader(my dvd loader broke)

Yeah I always used my GTA San Andreas to boot most Backups
You can convert CD>DVD but the only way to Convert some DVD is to make a Multi Disc DVD
Basically, the Multi-disc is comprised of small DVD games one one DVD
So really there is no way to convert PS2 DVD to CD
If you have a Walmart of EB games near you, just go look for a Large TOC PS2 game. They are so cheap anymore.
