Ipod Plugin for Winamp

I have installed Winamp and the plugin for connecting my Ipod with Winamp but for some reason the addon will not work with Winamp. When I installed the addon it keeps crashing (Closing out) Winamp. I keep geting a message saying "Winamp has stopped working"and then Winamp automatically shuts down. Could someone please tell me why? Thanks so much!!!
