If I get this chip, can I burn DVD-9 games like I would DVD-5 games?

I'm thinking about getting Matrix Infinity 1.99 and a stack of dual layer Verbatim DVD-R's to burn DVD-9 games with.

I know numerous guides here and elsewhere online show how to burn DVD-9 games to multiple DVD-5's but I'm curious as to if I can just burn DVD-9 games to DVD-9 using the same method I'd use to burn DVD-5?
