Magic swap 3.6 bootin problems which some people with slimline ps2 may have

I was looking for how to use the 3.8 coder and happen to run into this forum and slot off ppl were having problems for swap magic 3.6 instead and how it doesn't boot. I have a slim ps2 and the magic swap disc 3.6 if u llook at it closly its a bit larger than regular discs so doesn't click properly onto sim ps2, I have found the solution I believe. is u put the disc swap magic 3.6 in as u know the words Playstation 2 pops up that means that the disc is being read. however u sometimes don't make it past that cause it keeps spining then pausing then spinning then pausing again the reason why is because the disc does not fit in properly and wobbles around while its still spinning. This happens mostly on the edge of the disc. What I did was let my finger skin the outter edges of the disc as to keep it more steady. this works really well maybe 18 out of 20 times it will work if u get used to it. Remember though don't press down the edges of the disc hard just skin it enough for disc to be steady. Some of u might be having this problem.

I just got the magic swap so I'm new to this stuff. My friend told me about the disc being thicker. I pressed it down on the rotater as hard as possible so that it will click properly in place. Don't use this method. only click it in place like any other disc don't crazy force it on the rotatoer just follow the above method and skin the outer edges of the disc after it it say Playstation 2 on your tv screen. Hope it helps.

Also how do u use the magic swap 3.8 my friend gave it to me but he didn't know how to use it with DVD game backups. I don't get how to use it as well with cheats and all that. I don't know how to get the cheats as well. Thank You

i have the same problem with my swap disk, it doesn't quite fit on the spindle unless you press it hard enough to hear it click over all three clips. honestly i would rather do this than what you're suggesting and risk scratching the disk against the bottom of the drive or against the lens while it's jumping around in there due to misalignment. i'm not sure if it's the new PS2 or a problem with an irregular batch of swap magic disks, either way it's a pain in the ass and i don't even bother playing my ps2 because of it.
