y-fix patch problem pal to ntsc converter

okay i downloaded a pal iso ps2 game
def ja yada yada

so i used the y-fix patch and when i open it it says
"illegal file type"
why?
i used this b4 with pal games and this never happened b4...

Thats what happens when you download games. You don't know for sure what has been done.

Is it an ISO file, or .mdf

Won't work on .mdf
