S-video and spdif mod xbox (Solved)

I am doing the s-video mod on the origonal xbox and all I need to know is which wires in the s-video cord are which. There is a yellow and a white one. How can I figure out which one is the luminescant and chrominesant.

I also do not have connectors, just cords, and I figured that i could just cut one end of the cord off and wire straight into the xbox motherboard. Would this be a problem, since there is no ground connectors on these cords? I think there would be, but I'm just making sure.
