Hey guys, I am not a noobie at hacking as I have hacked my psp and ps2. I have recently come across a great deal on an original xbox. He will sell it to me for around $30. My questions are: 1. What is the best way to soft-mod the xbox? 2. Once I soft-mod it, how do I put XBMC on it? 3. What size is the stock hard drive (if it has one) and is it ATI or what? 4. How do I install a hard drive (I've played one before and didn't see a slot on the back like a fat ps2)? I want to figure the rest out by myself. I just need you guys to get me kick-started. 1. the free way to softmod the xbox (which needs opening) is hotswapping, and only takes 10 mins if you know what you're doing,or the easy ARMAX way which doesnt need opening. 2. Just softmod with XBMC or FTP and replace the dash file (Google it) 3. usually about, 4 gigs, or 8, or even (rarely) 20 gigs. 4. http://forums.afterdawn.com/thread_view.cfm/203286 Do this AFTER you softmod. all the info you wanted to know is there.
