I love the re-author option for cutting out scenes I deem inappropriate or language that's too rough.
I re-author just the movie, take out all the extra languages I don't need, hi-light the everything under dvd structure and ananlyze it. Then burn it to disc. But everywhere I have cut is a pause when I play it in the dvd player.
It works better in the computer, and of course seemlessly in DVD Shrink. Does anyone know how to fix this?
After rip the Movie: On "Re-Author"....did you doubble click or drag from right to left the "Main Movie" (Is the right way)?
Or you just un-tick wherever you do not want to be including on it (audio's and Subpicture's)?

The right way is:
Rip > Re-Author > Deep Analysis (optional) > Burn
I use DVD Decrypter to decrypt it (Transformers 2), opened the file with DVD Shrink, used Title 47 (which is the movie only) under re-author I double clicked Title 47 to add it to the left. I cut the scene I want, add 47 again, start from the next scene I want to keep and continue doing that until all the scenes and language was cut that I wanted. I also uncheck the subscripture I don't want. Then I burn it to DVD. But the parts I cut out of the middle of the movie creates weird pauses and I'm looking for a way to fix that, if there is. I found a post on another forum of someone with the same problem who said they fixed it but never how and that was from 2004. So I'm holding out hope that there's a cure.
My questions are:
After use DVD Decrypter to rip the Movie; How do open the File using DVD Shrink ?
Or Maybe you Rip the Movie using another Program before DVD Decrypter or after Decrypter ?
Or Maybe you Rip the Movie Twice using DVD Decrypter ?
Open DVD Shrink, got to Re-author, and in the right hand section of the screen, you will see you can click on your hard discs and I just find where I saved the file to using DVD Decrypter. You can do this with any decryption program, such as DVDFab. DVDFab would rip the main movie for me, and for burning without editing it worked fine. But DVD Shrink wouldn't recognize the output files from DVD Fab for some reason, so I used DVD Decrypter instead.

I try it the way you say it.....and it work just fine.....DVD Shrink recognize the file as an ISO.......Great !!!
DVD Decrypter (Rip) > DVD Shrink (Compress, etc.) > DVD Decrypter (Burn)
I try to do it this way 2 weeks ago without be able to do it !
Now I do not understand why you have a problem with your back-up.....if it should be come out right !
I will recomend you to Try It again: Since DVD Shrink as a "Glich" (Some Times...maybe I would say 1% of the times or when you try to use it on a diff. way for the first time).
Is not explain on the DVD Shrink Guide, but Some People that read alot know about this Problem and recoment to Do the same Process "once again".
A straight movie only copy works fantastic, it's only when I cut out scenes, like the metal tail coming out from under the dress, that I get the pauses. I just didn't know if there was a way to smooth those out. It plays much better from a DVD on a computer than it does the same DVD on my DVD player.

Anybody else have any suggestions?

Usually Compressing around 4,300MB with Shrink will help alot.
....and if you have some little pauses here or there: just Compress like 100MB or 200MB more....this time around 4,100MB or 4,200MB.
