Trying to burn using Nero 6.6 but DVD Shrink 3.2 not recognising it, although burn with Nero ticked in preferences. I have the exact same settings on my PC and everything works fine, any help appreciated

Shrink autoburn with Nero 6.3.1.25 or older version.....only

You can create an ISO File with Shrink and burn it with Imgburn or even the simple program call: RecordNow will burn your Iso !!!

Thanks for the info, but the point I am trying to make is my PC works fine with Nero 6.6 but not on my laptop.

I just to burn with Nero till 3 weeks ago when Nero star give me some problems, do not know why.

Anyway They are others burn programs out there like: ImgBurn, DVD Decrypter (old version of ImgBurn) or a simple-one as RecordNow!

It all depends on which version of Nero 6.6(Best6.6.0.18) you are using. The next upgrade 6.6.1.4 doesn't autoburn with shrink. Don't know if these links still work. Don't install InCD.

To Go Back To Nero 6.6.0.18

Write down your nero serial# and then uninstall version 6.6.1.4 from your system using the general cleantool found here:

After using the clean tool you might want to use a registry cleaner like ccleaner which is free here:

http://www.ccleaner.com/download/downloadpage.aspx?1

Then defrag your HDD

Next, download and install version 6.6.0.18 from the links provided, re-enter the serial# and you're good to go.

nero version 6.6.0.18 updates:

New Links
Package 1:
http://www.dvdplusvideo.com/Nero-6.6.0.18_no_yt.exe
Package 2:
http://www.dvdplusvideo.com/NVE-3.1.0.21_no_yt.exe
Do NOT install InCD just the 2 above packages.

Thanks Garmoon for the info I am using Nero 6.6.0.17 which should work with DVD Shrink 3.2 as it works fine on my PC, I am really stumped on this one. The reason I am using my laptop as its USB 2.0 and quicker to copy my movies from my Western Digital Passport HD.

You are correct. That version should autoburn. I'm stumped. I haven't used shrink in years. I would go back and check all the preferences on the laptop and make sure that they match the desk top. You could also switch to Nero Recode-written by the same chap that wrote Shrink.Or Free DVDFab and set it to burn with Nero. Does the burner burn the same file manually on the laptop. Did the shrink-nero burn ever work right or is this a new problem that just cropped up on laptop? Could uninstall Shrink and download from a new source and install that. Could do a system restore to before problem cropped up if it ever worked correctly. Good luck.
