I'm using TMPGENC author 4 to make a DVD. My video source is of 4.3 ratio. I see the option to make the DVD in 16.9 for the menu, so I picked that. I did notice a bit of video loss, but it could be my eyes. Can someone please validate this, do I take a quality loss when author the DVD in 16.9 when my source is 4.3?

    Thanks in advance.

There is usually some loss whenever ANY conversion is made.
If you're converting a 4:3 source to 16:9, some stretching is necessary,
the details dependent on the resolution of the source (which you didn't
    mention),
I've done it before and in some case it was acceptable to me.
Give a try and see how it turns out.
