If you have a need to transfer a DVD Movie that you have purchased yourself, to another format that won't be reproduced for selling purposes, YOU ARE SOMEWHAT OUT OF LUCK HERE. Although the box clearly states," Transfer any DVD to PSP,iPod and more." And continues to say,"123 Copy DVD allows you to make the highest backups copies of movies you've created or movies you own..."PLUS - no where on the box, does it say that you have to have an Internet Connection to complete the download of this program. And after you somehow, have been able to find an Internet Connection to a machine with an "A" drive and you also have an "A" drive on your machine for transferring this "Activation File", you'll find that it's not as easy as you might have thought it was.
As they said themselves from an email - "There are not many software available that will allow backing up commercial DVDs, though our software does allow this, you will need the plug-in from www.######.com which you will need to download from the site. We cannot add this to the disc. Also, with software such as ours, you will need to download updates frequently which is another reason you will need internet access. The internet access requirement should be printed on the system requirements section under the box.
Apparently, if the above material was also printed on their box, most certainly this would reduce their sales. By the way - there is no mention of internet access requirement printed on the system requirements section under the box. Plus - most retailers that sell this software, will not allow a return after the box has been "UNSEALED"...
So for those that know better, they will most like give this ripoff a wide birth while the novice will basically trust what they read or what "NOT" is written. Of course you can always use this $50 CD as a Sun Catcher if you hang it properly.
