A long time ago I purchased Season 1 of Southpark which came in a three disc set. I backed up each DVD into an ISO format and saved it to an ext. HDD. Due to space issues, I want to burn the ISO images back to a disc for safe keeping, and delete the files from the HDD. This leads me to my question...I only have DL dvd's and dont want to waste the space only burning one 4gb ISO to an 8GB DL dvd. Is it possible to take mulitple ISO's (which equal 1 dvd) and burn them to one DL DVD in a usable format? (By usable I mean being able to put into a dvd player or xbox to play to movie) The software I am using slysofts "ANYDVD HD" to read, and Elaborate Bytes Clone "DVD2" to copy and burn. I appologize in advance if stating a brand in frowned upon here. I just know some other companies make a product of the same name; I want to be clear as to which one I'm using.
Not easily. A DVD Movie disk has two folders: AUDIO_TS which is empty. VIDEO_TS which contains the VOB, BUP, IFO files for the movie. You can only have one of each folder on the disk. You can buy software that will allow you to keep the original movies (and menus) on a single disk - but I haven't used it, so cannot vouch for it. http://www.dimadsoft.com/dvdremakepro/ht_merge_full.php As far as I know, there is no freeware that will do it.
Alternatively, you could re-author the discs yourself in to one but I suppose that would defeat the purpose of having bought the series and having menus etc.
Thanks for the feeback guys, I guess it will be a lot easier (and prob cheaper) just to go out and buy some single layer dvd's compared to buying new software. I was just hoping there was simple way to do it that I just wasn't seeing. Anyway, thanks for the quick replies.
