I use My Movies to rip my DVD collection to my hard drives with their full file structure (i.e. in .VOB/IFO format in VIDEO_TS folders).

Occasionally I'd like to convert these to video files either for transportability or playing back on a portable media player (iPhone, Zune - yeah I'm a gadget freak).

Does anyone have suggestions on tools to do this? I've seen Vob2Mpg but it seems to join EVERY .VOB file together as opposed to having an interface to pick out just the movie files.

Thanks in advance for your help!

The most recent version of Vob2MPG (v3) defaults to ifo mode and lets you select the title you want (it defaults to the main movie).

You can also use AVIDeMux. Just drag a VOB from the title you want, set output format and convert (or pick 'Copy' and not convert).

Wow I either had an old version or accidentally nabbed the wrong piece of software. Vob2Mpg looks perfect. I'll check out AVIDeMux as well. Thanks for the tips!
