Having issues using VSO ConvertXtoDVD Ver 3.7.2; I am converting VHS tapes to DVD format and have started receiving the following problems. after converting the VHS format to AVI (testing it on the PC using Real Player Plays OK), then converting it using VSO ConvertX to DVD, using No Menu Feature,it also plays fine on the PC,Tried 3 separate PC's worked in all. I then put it in my Go Video Player/Burner Combo Unit(VHS/DVD)and it plays fine, when I put it in my DVD Player I get the following message NO PLAYBACK FEATURE INSTALLED. tried 2 other Players same issue. Reburned DVD with simple menu feature played perfect in PC and Combo VHS/DVD Unit, but in Player Units it started playing this time but in black and white. Sent DVD to friends house they got same results, PC works Great, DVD player units 1st DVD no Playback error, 2nd DVD plays in Black and White. the long and short of it is that if I use a DVD Burner to play the DVD everything works fine. anybody got any suggestions. I can do another VHS tape and it plays in everything fine no changes to the VSO software configuration at all.

Your problem sounds like it is in the final disk output region format.. ntcs instead of pal or whatever. I don't use convertx (basic thing.. not enough options) so that's as far as I can guess..

Why are you testing with realplayer? .. I would have thought making a disk iso and using vlc would have been a better test.
