Add a clip to a movie with Pgcedit. The clip plays before the menu appears. 'File' > 'Open DVD' > open the movie that has the menu. 'Title' > 'Import First-Play (startup) Clip' Select 'Don't pause.... Click 'Continue' > Open the DVD movie clip that is to be the first play before the menu. 'File' > 'Save DVD'
Elect to copy the VOB's and accept the default prompts. On the left pane, at the top, it should show the First Play PGC is calling the 'Startup Title'. You can click 'Trace' on the top menu and select 'Trace Mode'. At the bottom of the screen there should now be a 'Step' button. Keep clicking on that and see if the first play item starts.
