iTunes m4v to DVD using Xilisoft DVD Creator

I have purchased and downloaded some old TV Shows from the iTunes store. They are in MPEG4 (.m4v) format
I had hoped that Xilisoft DVD Creator would be able to burn these to DVD for use on a regular home DVD player but it is complaining that the file is not a valid video format
Anyone out there have an idea as to what is going on or can suggest a good alternative to convert m4v's to DVD?
