I am using bit torrent to download, then windows DVD maker to burn, my first 3 or 4 dvds were great, after that I have no sound, if I preview the movie in windows dvd maker I have no sound either, have sound if I play the file in VLC media player. Any help would be appreciated.

Try installing AC3 filter - if it doesn't help, it can be uninstalled from the Control Panel.
