removing certain words from a video

    How do I remove certain words from the audio of a video? What software do I use? plezse help! thanks in advance.

    What kind of video is it;AVI,DVD???

    Generally, you write down the time that the naughty word appears.
    Demux the audio from the video.
    Open the Audio in an audio editor and at the noted times, edit (lower the volume,replace with silence, insert a beep)the offending part.
    Save the new audio and mux it with the original video.
    It isn't difficult - just tedious if it's the likes of The Thick of It
