Hey guys, I searched but I can't find the answer to this question. I have a Region 2 DVD (let's say Red Dwarf Season 1) and want to remove the region encoding on it so I can send it to my bro in a region 3 area and it to work. Is there a way to do this? Make legitimate DVDs region free?

If it's a PAL to NTSC difference will it look weird?

Thanks for your help guys :)

Assuming you are in Region 2 and you rip the disk, it will no longer have region coding.

    The NTSC/PAL thing depends...

A PAL disk going to the likes of North America (region 1)may have a problem inasmuch as their standalone NTSC DVD players often will not play a PAL disk.

So it depends on the video standard used in your destination region and whether their standalone players will accept different video standards - off course if it's going to be played on a PC, it makes no difference - a PC plays either video standard.
