I bought a Pinnacle DVC100 capture device for transferring VHS tapes to my computer. With the pinnacle software it is very easy to set up. After capturing the video to my HDD I use Nero Video to remove unwanted sections and adjust brightness/contrast/colour/sound. It also has the bonus that you can copy protected videoswithout any problem, I have done over 40 Disney that have copy protection. If using Windows 7 you must get the latest drivers (64bit)from Pinnacle.The DVD quality that can be obtained is firstclass
