Radio on your mobile

    Anyone know why when you want to listen to a radio station on your mobile phone you have to add headphones whilst music you add to the phone yourself you can blast away on the loud speaker?

    simple its coz wen u add music its a recording so your just playing back a recording as such.where as radio is live and takes a different format

    doesnt explain why headphones are madatory, jsut as easy to use the loud speaker.

    whizard is right ... radio is a different format .. its not recording.

    its cause the headphones act like an antenna which recieve the radio frequencies!
