Thank you so much for the tutorial on combining (splicing in ol time movie speak) avi files, and the link to VirtualDub for the software. I am a retired guy who tries to keep himself busy and people like you make life so much easier in learning how to do stuff.
It never fails to amaze me how many folks like you are out on the web with free software and advice. Buying the professional stuff is way beyond my pension budget and the freeware is more than adequate for my simple needs.
