picture messaging and internet connection

hi all,
i recently changed from o2 to vodafone (ireland). i have a samsung gts5600, my problem is since i changed over i can't send or recieve picture messages or access the internet . vodafone has said that because they never stocked this phone they can't set it up to work on their network , would their be any other option i could use to solve this problem?
