what do you mean by "path a picture"?

 

he means to create a clipping path around the picture to get rid of the background.
It's actually pretty simple to do. Just search in google "how to create a clipping path" and it will probably give you some videos on how to do this.
It shouldn' take more than a couple of minutes to do.
