ok well theres no such thing as 555 cfw but theres 5.50 and with that u still cant play sum newer games. UNLESS u patch the game using UMDGen and yoshihiros decryptor (both apps r in my sig) and here is a link 2 a guide 2patching the 555 and 600 fw required games

also 2 upgrade 2 5.50 GEN-B2(wat cfw ull need 2run patch isos) use the Upgrade link in my sig
btw psp games r called isos not roms, and 1 of the cons of 550 gen is that ull lose "most" of ur homebrew

I found a new little program that should solve your problem-It can be found HERE -This will alleviate the need for performing incremental upgrades....As far as the 1.50 kernel for GEN-B2, I believe you can use the 'Time Machine' program for homebrew, etc that requires the 1.50 kernel...

theres no 150k for 550 and u wnt need it most of ur homebrew will b disabled and ull need 2 upgrade 2 500 m33-6 before upgrading 2 gen

You cant run homebrew and ISO/CSO bachups on 5.55.
The latest Custom Firmware for homebrew and ISOs is 5.50 Gen-B.

lol ok ty also raptor lol sorry just wakin going now to throw sum black silk on the burner so i can get awake i really always appreacaite everyones help on here esp since i have problems with this damn psp everytime so thanx again i am gonna run out and doo a few things then sit down and try these out as mentioned above will post with updates guys and hopefully by this afternoon i can play gran turismo thanx again and anyone else i missed ty please dont b upset for missing names i am trying to doo amny things @ once and note eveyones help is great on my end and apprecaited :P

According to the release notes for the program I linked to in my previous post-You just need to be running 3.71M33 or higher for it to work...And as far as 1.50 kernel is concerned, using D_A's time machine will allow you to run your homebrew that requires 1.50 kernel to operate on 5.50GEN-B2.

I know that if you run into a problem on M-33 you can run the recovery and get instantly back to 1.50 and start over. Is there a similar thing on 5.50GEN-b in case someone doesnt have a pandora?

you need to go to 5.00m33-6 then through the gens 5.50 GEN-A, GEN-B, GEN-B2 no 1.50 add ons for phats, you can run pops loader and other homebrew on this as well as the new 5.55 and 6.00 games for psp. im not saying you can run all homebrew 100% (i only use pops loader for PSX/PS1 games and psp stuff)if you don't like it use hells cats downgrader back to m33 firmware and upgrade to 5.00m33

Why dont you upgrade to 5.03 M33-6.It also has skype and you can connect to PSN(But it require to upgrade to the latest OFW)
