friend can't go online resistance retribution with hacked psp

My friend has a modded psp and can't go online with resistance retribution because it requires a playstation network account, which he has. However, since his psp was downgraded in order to be hacked, he can't log into his playstation network account, it keeps asking him to upgrade his psp. Would upgrading stop his hacked psp from being able to play hacked games?

He needs to have at least 5.50 Gen-A to connect to PSN.

yeah.. im having a psp-2000 with software m33-06 when i login. they ask me to update my psp. when i go to my system updates they said that they had no later update compared to my m33-06 software. anyone can help? im also trying to login to psn to play resistance:retribution .

went from 5.00m33-6 to 5.50GEN-A then 5.50GEN-B all works well backups and PSN network need to go to gen update from 5.00m33-6 http://pspslimhacks.com/custom-firmware-5-50gen-a-released/

Where do i put the folder into? cause when i put into my mp-root and se plugins when i checked my system its still m33-06 and tried logging in and still failed.

psp folder game folder UPDATE folder if you dont have any of the folders make them put update in UPDATE folder and run as a game

Under Psp then Go to Games? then create a folder called update and put the update in? i did that.. does it change ur system information? cause mine din.

under psp there are many games folder. game150, game , game5xx so which isit? i tried putting it in game folder but my system information did not change.btw you can add me at limzsf@hotmail.com if u have msn. much easier to get things done =p still having probs

backup mem stick download gen a and install then gen b link to download http://www.psp-hacks.com/2009/07/02/psp-...gen-b-released/ run each gen like a game off the mem stick UPDATE folder in game folder

So I download the gen a into which folder? then in folder download gen b inside the same folder? which folder isit?

OH OK sweet got it this time =p i put the update folder into my game folder and found it in my games =p sweet thx alot great help =p hopefully can play online now lol.. thanks alot dude ur're the bestest.. haha took me days to figure it out. maybe after others read this forum they would know how to do it LOL.

a few new options in the vsh menu if you press select and have a look i dont know what the other driver is for you have normal m33 np9660 and another one you can make soft mod pandora and normal now as well
