Site update - March 16th 2010

AfterDawn.com has been updated! In addition to renewing the layout of the site we have also speeded up things considerably. The new version has been tested on our Finnish site for several months, and during the testing we have managed to improve the new version even further.

You can now enjoy this new layout at English AfterDawn.com and English Discussion Forums as well! We have also introduced new sections to the site, and re-arranged things a bit.

A frend of mine had that...
What to do is that your psp should be fully shutdown. Then holding 'R' down while starting it, then there will be a menu which says "M33 Recovery Menu". From there go to 'CPU Speed' and then chage all of then to 'Defalt'. Thats it!!!

Ok first, you can only use the "softmod" to make a pandora battery if you have a psp already with CFW, but note it does not work on all psp slim's

I don't recommend doing the "hardmod", but it is your choice

Otherwise with Original firmware you will need to purchase the Pandora battery tool or converter as shown in the guide.

As for the installer not finishing, where it says "exit to dos", either try another computer if you have one, or another memory stick or you can do the mspformat manually, then use the installer.

if you follow the guide all the way, you would see you do NOT run any programs on the psp.

either hardmod, or find someone with a custom firmware psp to flash the battery. if you can't do either, then you have to buy the battery online.

and if the slim had 4.01 or higher out of the box, then no custom firmware.

When I downloaded the Part 1, I went to extract the file as said. When I went to open the file in WinRar a box pops up and reads as follows, "Please insert the disk containing "Documents and settings\Home\Local Settings\TempUniver_File.part2.rar" into drive C:
I have all three parts downloaded...but it still won't open part one. Part two and three work. What's wrong? I read through the thread, but didn't see any post with the same problem. IF you could email me with help instead of posting...I check email more frequently then the thread. Either works...posting would help other noobs.

Try redownloading the parts again. Make sure all 3 parts are in the same directory on the PC.

It says for OFW I have to either buy a different battery, or hardmod. I wasn't sure if there was some other way that people might now how to do.

Hey guys, I got back into PSP hacking. My friend got himself a new PSP-2000 since his other ones crapped out on him.

Anyway, I'm re-reading everything and remembered how to do it all, almost perfectly like I did back then. I made the MMS and the Pandora Battery.

The problem I'm having is that when I put my Pandora Battery that I made since my PSP is already installed with CFW in my friend's PSP, including the MMS, all I get is a black screen. It didn't just happen on his, but it also happened on mine. I made the battery go back to normal and tried it again and nothing. I even tried using my friend's battery and still nothing. Am I doing something wrong? I mean I don't think I am.

If it helps, my PSP running under 5.00 M33-3 CFW.
