I think I had 2.71 or 2.72 when I bought it, then I used the GTA Liberty City Stories Game Save Hack to downgrade to 1.50, I think it's been while. Then from there went through the OE firmwares and then arrived at 4.01 mm3-2 currently have. I will have to check to see how my PC recognizes my PSP but I would have to say its probably a generic mass storage device. Thanks I'll post back after I get out of work thanks for the help.
If you did the GTA:LCS downgrade, then your IDStorage keys are screwed up, and thats why they dont recognize each other.
Download Chilly Willies KeyCleaner and run it to fix your keys. You may have to reset to factory after you fix the keys, but its not always the case. Then your device will be recognized as a PSP TYPE A (or similar) and should start to act like a PSP again when connected to the PS3.
Probably not. You should check the IDStorage keys any way, since you dont know their current state, and the older downgrade from 2.71 would break them (The newer downgrades I think kept the keys intact). The bad storage keys usually break the remote play, so yours are probably OK.
Thanks for the help. I have the newest update downloaded I am just worried about my ISO and CSO games no longer working with the new firmware. Do you have to run a 1.50 kernel add on again? So I guess I will see how my PC sees my PSP first. Then download and Run the Chilly Willies KeyCleaner (is this is something your run right off the memory card?) and then if all else fails upgrade to 5.00 m33-6. Can you downgrade back to 4.01 m33-2 without using a Pandora Battery?
