which psp 2001 model firmware is not modable?

is it anything below 5.50? this guy on ebay is selling one with firware 6.60 and is saying you can mod it

The firmware doesn't say anything about the modability, it's the mainboard revision that counts. With US PSPs it's hard to tell because they don't have a date code. Also you can mod all PSPs, even the 3000 and the GO, just not permanently. All PSPs that were build pre mid-2008 are permanently modable.

Xbox 360: On my fourth console, first one rrod 3 times, second one sold at ebay because of no HDMI, third one rrod during flashing (supposedly killed that drive), fourth one up and working on LT 3.0
PSP: Slim&Lite 2004 model with 6,60 ME v1.3
PS3: 60 Gig Model with the latest official firmware for going online and a modified case for better cooling
PSVita: Need some games for it, just bought an 8 GB memory card at ebay, awaiting a Photofast addapter for MicroSD-cards.
