1.9GIGABYTE profile file.... wtf.

#1 24 May 2011 @ 2:14
I started the day with a profile which was 12 MB in size. Then, I was playing the Dead Space 2 Severed DLC and was about to unlock the achievement for finding Peng's Treasure, and the game froze. Well, I was bored anyways, so (being that my box is flagged for AP 2.5 fail) I went to clear the con flag so I could play some modded portals (lol) on my jtag.

That's when I discovered that, somehow, my profile had packed on about 1.89GB pounds lol. WTF! Wouldn't be a problem, except that whenever I unlock an achievement, it freezes...

Ideas? I don't have a box I'm comfy taking onto XBL yet, but I'd love to keep my gamerscore lol.

How does this happen and what can I do at this point ha

youve probably got many saves/downloads/patches. Look through the items on your harddrive and delete what you dont need

I thought the profile only contained profile data though, such as achievements, settings, etc??

have you decompiled your profile with modio and see what it has on it yet?

Ok, I opened it in Modio and looked at the file contents... there is nothing over 500kb. So idk where that extra bulk is coming from...

Ideas?
