Hi guys I was wondering if it's ok to use an old 203 watt power supply on a new "what I am assuming" is a Jasper board. I recently acquired a new Arcade box with zero miles, a mfg date of Aug-09 and a dash of 7363 so I am really excited! I just hope this old clunker power supply I am using will not harm the board in any way. thanks

Power supplies are forwards compatible but not backwards compatible, so.......
203 Watt PSU = Works with any console
175 Watt PSU = Works with Falcon and Jasper
150 Watt PSU = Works with Jasper
The plug is designed so that a lower wattage PSU can't be plugged into a higher wattage 360, so basically, if it plugs in, you're fine.

^this. Never mod the plug so that it works. It can and probably will cause a red ring

Excellent responses guys thanks. I learned 2 things in this thread that I have come across before and had questions! A. I almost modded one to work once.. and B - I now know what to look for when buying used power supplies from flea markets.
Greatly appreciated!

Yeah, definitely don't mod one!
The 360 draws whatever power it needs, which is why a higher rated PSU is fine. If a Jasper 360 draws, say, 130 Watts max, then a 203 Watt PSU will provide that no problem. If a 203 Watt 360 draws 180 Watts max though, a 150 Watt PSU will not provide enough power and that's where you run into problems. It would make the console unstable and at worst, it could damage it.
