Hello everyone,
Wabashman, leerage and I have been working on setting up an IRC channel so that there is a place for that everyone can go for some live help with any 360 stuff. We'll be there, and we'd love to have everyone also join in there. The more resources, the better.
If you have questions, we can answer them right away. Additionally, it'll be a place where we can all talk about fixing problems, or answering questions people might have, setup games in case people want to play something, or just talk.
If you know how to connect and get on IRC, we are on EFNET at #afterdawn
If you want, you'll need to download an IRC client. Typically, most people use mIRC. Colloquy also has an IRC client built into it. Just search for a irc client and download the one that you like.
You'll need to connect to an IRC server that is on EFNET. Click here to see all efnet servers. Unless otherwise stated, use port 6667 on the server to connect.
Once you are connected to the server, type "/join #afterdawn360" without the quotes, and it will connect you to our channel. From there, just go ahead and talk.
I have edited and programmed some functionality into a bot that operates on the channel. The bot will respond to any commands that you give it (that it knows and recognized). The syntax is ! command
I have a command that can link you to the latest firmwares. The command is called firmwares. TO have the bot give you the link, the command would then be ! firmwares
When you join, type ! commands to see a list of all commands that are available to be used.
Additionally, since I thought it would be helpful, I have included google searching in the bot :)
To perform a search, you would type !google searchtermshere.
Ex:
!google afterdawn
!google ufc
!google xbox 360 flashing
It will return the results directly to you.
Well, I hope that this all helps. I think a live help area will be a good asset, plus someplace where we can all just talk. Hope you all try it out, and come hang out with us.

Hehe it happens.
Like i said to guessswho you can always drop in to the existing AD channel too, i must admit that i don't get around to dropping in there enough myself but most of the regulars there are in there just about every day.

Hm... well might have been when I went out to dinner with the girl, or just passed out at night. But we had bhetrick, wabash, leerage, homesick, and plenty of other people in, so definitely come back.

Ha thanks, and like I said in the original post, I do have a bot setup that responds to commands you make in the room. There isn't a "IRC Java script", it's a bot made using tcl scriting. But that is already there. So try out the commands.

Sorry what i meant was a a webpage with a java script that acts as and IRC client so that the noobs wont have to download Mirc and have to post questions here about how to connect to efnet :P

To be honest, I wasn't trying to advertise, and the only time i ever point to it is when there is a guide that isn't on here, which doesn't seem to be a problem when other members point to resources on other sites.
And again with IRC, it was never meant to be anything but an extra asset this website can offer to people, nothing else.
I've also always said that this is the place to go/be for all the information you could want/need.

Web applet has just been added. What this web applet will do is connect you to the irc server, however, it will only join the server.
To connect to the room, type "/join #afterdawn360" without the quotes
You will type that in the area where you type.
Click here to use the applet to access our room.
That command will then join you to the afterdawn360 room.
Hope this helps to those who don't have an IRC client.
This webpage hosting it will only be used unless AD would be willing to post and create a portal to the room, then we can link to that directly.

i dont feel as guessswho is advertising either, this is strictly about AD, i feel thes mods should support this, guessswho, thanks for letting me be part of the team, i think this will be a great asset to the AD xbox community!

not really what we made the channel for man. that would be attempting to replace AD, and we arent about that. the channel is just a place for immediate assistance or if you want to hang out and chat.

Great work.
Chat is really functional and easy. Nice to hang and get to know the guys from around here better. Or finding someone for a match.
Good for quick questions too if you have any :D
