I have two 360s, one I modded to 1.6 a few weeks ago, but just now got around to burning disks.

I tried burning the activate.iso (first layer, no break, etc) and it returns as above. I tried two different DVD burners (both DL of course), same result. imgburn, also clone dvd.

I'm using cheap ass media memorex(I live in the sticks), but will be going into town tomorrow to pick up new stuff. I'll snag some verbatim discs, but also would like to know what else could be causing the above problem as it's a 45 minute drive to buy any equipment.

any thoughts?

That's not an error. At that screen, press "A", then eject and put in your wave 4 game and play it.

That's what I'm here for. I'm the official 'AfterDawn press "A" when using the activate ISO disc to boot next disc' instructor.

this happened to me as well you obviusly downloaded the copy with the bad video what you need to do is pop in another new game anything wave 4
let that update the console. than reinsert the activate disc and than the mw2 it will work.

So after reading this I assume it's safe to apply the update after I insert the Wave 4 game?

Im hearing quite a bit about this issue, I think even with the activate.iso disk there still a chance of the games not loading for some consoles. We may just have to wait until the 1.61 code comes out for all dvd drives

I didn't press A either and it worked fine. I did press:

"UP UP DOWN DOWN LEFT RIGHT LEFT RIGHT B A SELECT START" though, so maybe that did it?
