BenQ and xbox/dahboard

#1 19 Dec 2011 @ 14:19
I flashed my BenQ to LT2.0 and was told by a guy that knows what he is doing that I need to update my xbox.dashboard to the latest version in order to play Xgd3 games but I don't know how. The xbox hasn't been online in over 2 years. Any help would be great

you would need to find 13604 and put it on a thumb drive, only problem is the guy should have done that before he flashed it, because if you try to update to 13599 or above its going to flash your drive back to stock!

Where can I get 13604. I am guesing the one on the xbox site wouldn't be the right one :)

I did the flashing, I was just talking to the guy. I just need to know where to get it because I know my flash worked as I tested it yesterday with some older games. Thanks for your help

If you flash to the latest dashboard, dae.bin will be updated and trying to play any XGD3 games will flag the console.

You definitely don't want to install this, as it's 2.0.14699.0 and will update the dae.bin file on your console so if you try and boot any AP2.5-protected title (including all XGD3 games), the game won't boot and your console will be flagged.

You have 2 options really: -

1. Locate 13604 online and install that. Make sure any XGD2 AP2.5 titles are fully patched and up to date. You'll need to stay off Xbox Live, but at least you can play all games offline.

2. Wait for LT+ 3.0. Once the tools are available to repatch AP2.5 titles, you'll be able to update to the very latest dashboard and play online as well as offline.

Of course you could do 1 now, then do 2 once LT+ 3.0 (and associated apps) are released.
