can i put sata card?? HELP!!

Hello, [sorry im a noob at computer stuff so please go easy on me]
i want to flash my xbox but i dont have a sata cable slot so i went to buy a sata card and when i found one the guy told me that i have to make sure i have a PC express slot in the motherboard (im not sure if its PC or PCI express slot).
so my question is how do i know if i have a PC express slot without opening the case because i dont know how to open it??
here is some information:
Mainboard and chipset
Motherboard manufacture Dell Inc.
Motherboard model 0CU409
BIOS vendor Dell Inc.
BIOS version 1.0.11
BIOS date 01/31/2008
Chipset Intel P35/G33/G31 rev. A2
Southbridge Intel 82801IR (ICH9R) rev. 02

Looks like you need PCI (not PCI Express).
The 2 white slots in the upper left corner of the picture are PCI. (PCI Express are much smaller).
There are three sata ports in the lower left (one black, one white, one blue). You could try those if one is not in use.
You could just skip the sata process and buy an Xecuter 360 USB Pro or a Maximus Lizard and flash through USB.

thank you for your help but they dont sell the xecuter 360 or the lizard here so it has to be sata. but you didnt answer my question do i have the express slot or not.

You do have pci express. One is x16 and is likely the video card in it. The one right below it is pci express x1. Your motherboard has sata on it already, so you should give them a go first instead of buying a card for flashing that may or may not work for flashing.

I have a Dell Vostro, although it has a different mobo in it to that one (similar though, and the same manufacturer) and the onboard SATA works fine for flashing 360s. I would definitely try what whompus said and see if the onboard SATA works before you buy a SATA card. If you have no free SATA port, just temporarily unplug your computer's DVD drive.
In my case, I bought the SATA card but it didn't work. I followed the instructions to the letter, but no go. It was only when I was removing the SATA card that I thought I'd try the onboard SATA and that did work, so I wasted a few quid on the card.

Thanks man, but that was some time ago and I have a Lizard now. I sold the SATA card for a few quid on eBay, so I only lost out £1 or so.

Yes, the ports are inside the case. You'll usually see cables running from your hard drives and optical drives to the SATA ports. It's not the most convenient way to flash a drive as you have to pop the side of your PC case and plug the 360 drive into one of the SATA ports, but if it works it means you don't have to buy a SATA card.

Should have simply said that in the picture from left to right is PCI, PCI, PCI Express x1, and PCI Express x16.
But I did mention that he has 3 sata ports that he should try out first (one black, one white, one blue). There's possibly a 4th one. The pic is small.

If you're using the onboard SATA, you find where the SATA ports are and if one is free, you plug the 360 drive into it with a SATA cable.
If a port is not free, you can unplug your PC's DVD drive temporarily, then plug it back in when you've flashed the 360's drive. Obviously, only unplug and plug things in when the PC is powered off.
