I live in a dorm and my xbox 360 sits on top on my microwave and in front of my tv. When i have both the microwave and xbox on at the same time can this ruin my xbox. It was recently started freezing up in the middle of gameplay and i want to know if this is the problem.

Well, the microwave emits heat, so that could be the cause of the freezing up (early signs of rrod). Putting the xbox on top of a microwave isn't a good idea.

Camping is not a legitimate strategy.

Do you play your XBOX 360 in your kitchen? Either way, I'm sure it is fine. I mean, you are still alive right? ;)

I think maybe I had it on too long yesterday. Im gonna let it cool down for a while and see if it helps. Maybe my cooling fan is broken or something it started making a funny noise recently also. Ill update you guys later

No my dorm doesn't have a kitchen its in my room. It was working fine with no freezing for months but i recently started playing it more and i guess the extra hours are taking a toll on it.

Try putting a hamburger patty in the 360 to see if the Microwave is having an effect on the 360. If it cooks the hamburger then I would say yes.
