So thats it really its just the media? Got some verbatims coming tomorrow so they should do the trick, its not my software or setup?
#5 19 Aug 2009 @ 18:45
software is fine as long as you are selecting the .dvd file. but even if you arent it wouldnt matter as you stated you had the layerbreak set. so that just leaves it up to the media.

We all recommend verbs for a reason, so hopefully you'll listen and use them.

There's nothing premium about aone discs.

Verb discs are good also never burn under 4x speed.

4x is optimal.

I think every time I have had verbs, I just burn at the max, and never have issues.

I've never seen this error before and I've never manually set it nor had any of the people I helped set it. You should be using default settings for everything besides write speed.

And while I agree that Verbatims are the best quality, they aren't required for most people. I've had no issues with Memorex with over 200 burns and no coasters. Add in the 10-12 people that I know that burn and you have 100% burns and zero coasters caused by the discs. Obviously there has been coasters from PC issues and bad images.

The fact that Memorex, Aone, TDK, Sony, Maxell, etc, etc, etc, can be used is not the point. One of my 360s uses virtually nothing but Memorex, and won't read Verbatim. The other two use Verbatims only.

Everyone recommends Verbatim because they "act" like originals, more than any other brand of recordable media, leaving less risk of the ban hammer.

Uh, you got proof that they 'act' better?

Why was I told to burn at 2.4x even with verbs and nothing higher?
