cool runner and jtag question(s)

#1 14 Nov 2011 @ 13:45
ok not new to modding but just new to the whole cool runner thing.. basically it is an easy way to jtag your console?

1. Is there anywhere i could find some good tutorials regarding homebrew and as far as servicing and running the jtag? for example i was under the impression you had to keep dumping the nand? I do not have an LPT port on my desktop so could be an issue?

2. Can you get on live(even for a short period of time) with a JTAG?

3. I read about bridging solder points so it would protect your E-fuses? what's that about?

4. What are the benefits of JTAG? Does it emulate the games directly from the HDD? I know you can install XBL DL data to the HDD.

Basically can anyone point me in the right direction to learn a some new things about JTAG and how it works and how to operate one.

I found elitemodscene very helpful, there seems to be loads of experts of there. Even the Admins are knowledgeable.

For a very small amount of time yes, not worth it IMO

Its to stop a microsoft dash updating from ruining your JTAG/Glitched xbox

Games directly off your HDD, customer dashes, decent media players, download DLC
