DVD drive swaping chances of getting ban on xbox live

Hi i read online but they were old post so i figured id ask is there a danger of getting detected on live if you spoof certain drive that were different from the original. For example my samsung drive went out so i was going to spoof a liteon to put in it. Will that put me in danger of getting ban.

Whenever you flash a DVD drive you take a risk of getting banned. As far as we know, Microsoft cannot tell what drive we are using. Well, they can look at your serial number and know you are supposed to have a Samsung, but they won't know that you are using a different DVD Drive unless they physically see it. As long as you spoof and flash the keys correctly, you should be fine.
