hi

Just brought a black 120 gig xbox 360 elite dated Sept. 2009 and was wondering if this can be mod without opening the xbox up just in case I need to return it.

Sorry pal, no way of checking without opening the box

Not necessarily, tone01 you could check to see what drive you have, but you won't know the revisions or anything.

They off a pretty good dvd drive comparison over at here at llamma. Try using that maybe you'll get lucky and not have the newest lite-on :)

He will have a lite on from the manufacter date, so he will have to open it to find out what revision.
