I just started messing around with my new jtag 360 and I'm having a small problem. I wasn't very happy with the way xport360 was acting so I decided to set up FlashFXP and just send the files that way. Everything went fine and I can transfer with no problem, but my speed caps out at around 2 MB/s. That speed is annoying, but I figured that is how it is supposed to be. Anyway, went to a buddies house and set up his FlashFXP for the same purpose and he is getting around 11 MB/s. So I came home, started messing around with my setup and I cannot for the life of me get higher than 2 MB/s. Anyone have any ideas? And what's the max speed you've gotten if you've used a similar setup?

That was my first thought, but I'm using the exact same router that my buddy has. It's an Actiontek cable modem/router that was supplied by Verizon (er, Frontier) with their FIOS service. Tired changing out all the cables too with no luck unfortunately.

Are you using a switch? Could just be that, or a network card on either end.

Originally posted by Modking30:Nope, no switch. The PC is wireless to the router and the 360 is wired directly to the router. Think it might have something to do with the PC being wireless to the router... Another buddy is getting the same speed as me with pretty much the same setup. The only difference between the three of us is that the one with 11 MB/s is all wired. Not sure if something like that matters, but I will try it out tonight.

Shut off the wireless connection on my computer tonight and wired it directly to the router and my speeds jumped up to 11 MB/s so problem solved. I guess FlashFXP doesn't like wireless connections. Thanks

lol.
No, it's not FlashFXP. With a wireless connection, you are going to top out around 2 MB/s. With wired, depending on what type of cables, you're going to get around 10-11 MB/s
