I don't wanna shell out $100 for a wireless adapter for a 360 so I'm wondering if I can use the one I use for my computer to work for the 360.
So, can anyone here help me out?

no, but you can use your computer as a wireless access point, and share the internet connection from the laptop to the 360.

Come talk with us on efnet at #afterdawn !!! or just click ME

ALSO, DO NOT SEND ME MESSAGES ON LIVE REGARDING MODDING CONSOLES, OR HOW I PLAYED A CERTAIN GAME EARLY. I WILL NOT RESPOND. I WILL INSTEAD DELETE YOUR MESSAGE, AND BLOCK ALL COMMUNICATION FROM YOU. JUST SEND ME A PM ON HERE.

well you can do what i did which is get an old router and flash it with DD-WRT Firmware. it can then be used as a wifi adapter that you can plug into the lan port on the 360. Forgive me if i'm not making much sence....i am very tired check here for more info
http://timbermheay.wordpress.com/2007/11...apter-for-xbox/ If you need any help just ask me, I've done this with 3 routers that I use all over my house. Check out our live chat help...it's in wabashmans sig

Unfortunately, my laptop broke a while ago and my warranty to get it fix ran out.

What you mentioned will be my second choice (since the 360 is near my computer), however, just for future purposes, I was hoping that what I was asking for was possible. Are you absolutely sure it's impossible? It really does seem like something that someone would have figured out by now.

I suppose i'll just do that, if a time comes where I need a wireless adapter for my 360, then i'll worry about it.

EDIT*
Found this on another website where I asked the same thing.

Do you guys think it will work? Also, if it does, do you know of anything that does pretty much the same thing but is an N router instead of a G? (not sure what the difference is but I hear N is better).

hi kenio8185

have you considered these babies? homeplugs they are a viable option when wireless is pants in your area or the 100ft lan cable is a health hazard :) all you need are 2 homeplugs - 1 for the router and 1 for the xbox360 and a spare electrical sockets for each plug.

if you want to understand the concept then click here

it works between upstairs/downstairs - we have 3 xbox's running into my router from different rooms with no discernable lag or drop off like wireless setup's can give
