How to play Xbox Original backups on iXtreme?

From looking through the forums, it sounds like I have to do the initial iso rip using a kreon drive or an 0800 drive and then burn the iso on a dual layer disk. Is that right? Is there a way to get it working on the 360 if don't have the original disk anymore to re-rip it and I've just got my old backup disk laying around?

i think only certain games like splinter cell and halo 2 have compability with that. because i had a back of splinter cell and it worked great on the 1.6 firmware and then put in double gane. for the first xbox btw and it said that older games arent compatible and that i should check there site for more info

Something im looking in to ATM also, I have lots of xbox 1 backups but none of them play. Did you have to patch it or something?

Well, I know that the 360 can only play the games that are on the backwards compatibility list.

The problem with many Xbox 1 backup that people have is they are download rips with modified XBE files. If the XBE file is modified the original Xbox backup can never be patch for use on ixtreme firmware. I have several Xbox 1 backups that play on ix16.

Is there a way to tell if that xbe file is modified? I don't remember anything from when I backed this thing up.

Back when I was checking trough my Xbox collection I found the easiest way to check was to pop them in an Xbox 360 with a Samsung or Benq drive running non stealth firmware. I had one on hand. If the backup doesn't have a modded XBE file it will boot up on single layer DVD if it's BC. A little more than half of my downloaded Xbox 1 games had modified XBE files.

lol, I'd hope I'm still alive. I check in here every now and then, but it's a lot of the same questions over and over and that get's old. Of course a new ban wave always makes things a little interesting.

I never looked too much into trying the check out XBE file from the ISO, but it may be possible. The XS Layout site could be helpful for those trying to get Xbox 1 rips working.
