Folks,

I was in the process of flashing a Philips Liteon 74850c from Stock. I managed to successfully extract the Drive Key, Inquiry, Indentify and Dummy.

I proceeded to WRITE and as it was Writing Bank 0.. Jungle Flasher crashed on me.

The problem I have with that is that the 360 is now showing a blinking green light because the drive was last in Vendor Mode and the drive tray is closed and I cannot get it to recognise with my SATA Card so I can try and correct the problem.

Somebody please tell me the drive is recoverable and what needs to be done?

It should still re-recognise though right?

Cheers,

Squiby

Good luck! There is an easier way you can try out in JF before this but I don't have the link right now.

Bye! :)

Thanks,

In JF, the problem I am having is that the drive is now not recognising under my VIA ports.. and it has a blinking green light..

Can I still proceed with the write if it is not recognised?

Ok, I have manually managed to eject the drive and try and click through Intro/Device ID, but it is now returning and stuck on Status 0X52...

Surely, there must be a better more efficient way to do this?

It was all going so well!

Yes, this was in the other link that I can't find. Try googling for frozen Liteon, maybe you can find out about it. I remember recovering a liteon with the intro device id. You just gotta choose the correct port (it will say drive not found but thats normal) and then you could write the new firmware.

Bye! :)

I managed to get it to recognise why Intro/Device ID the first time round and then Jungle Flasher froze again, so then I tried it with version 1.67 and now the status gets stuck on 0X52..

So now I am thinking will it go back to the status of 0x72 again or not..

Do you think you can dig out that other link?

It was on a work PC, might be able to dig it up tomorrow from the history. Did you try the dos method with iPrep yet? It's pretty easy to do, just need a usb flash stick.

Bye! :)
