Liteon flash without Connectivity Kit

Hi Guys,
I have bought both the CK3 Probe III and the Xbox USB360 pro, but I only just realized that I may also need a connectivity kit to power my drive, which is a liteon 74850c. Can I simply use the Xbox's plug to power the drive? I am somewhat of a noob, but I have worked really hard on this and I would really appreciate your help

Yes, you can use the Xbox's power cable to power the drive but it may be somewhat aggravating to eject/power cycle the drive if/when you need to.

powering your drive with your xbox 360 is not recommended as it flags you for a ban when you turn on your 360 without the drive connected to it
