Haha, no worries man! Glad you got it sorted in the end.

As long as you have a backup of your original firmware (or the key at the very least), in future you can just hook the Lizard up to the drive, erase the firmware, then write the new custom firmware with your key in it. No more messing about with that probe and powering the drive on and off a bunch of times.
yeah i made a few copies of the key (and the other files it saved) to see if they matched.

going to TRY burning assassins creed brotherhood tomorrow and see it it works.. actually is that firmware? or dashboard issue.. that's the only game i couldn't use on my old xbox! my head hurts!?

still feel like a noob but I've learned a lot! :-) too much for one day in fact.. I'm going to go bed!

ty and gdnight

Assassin's Creed Brotherhood is one of the 6 games that uses AP2.5 protection, so just make sure that it checks out 100% in abgx360 before you try and play it. Even booting a badly patched (or even fully patched, but with out of date AP2.5 data) AP2.5 game will flag your 360 immediately. If you're not sure about something, just ask on here for help before putting the disc in your 360's drive, cos it would be a shame to flag it right after you've just flashed it!
