First, use ImgBurn.

Rip the original disc to ISO using that program

Then run the ISO through ABGX on level 3 autofix.

If all is well, use ImgBurn again to now burn the ISO to disc.

ok thanks for your quick response.

is imgburn better than clonecd?

I have personally never used Clone CD. I think it is possible for it to work, but I have no experience with it. The generally accepted 'best practice' is to use ImgBurn.

thanks so much for your help i am just running the abgx now :)

unfortunately its just done the same in imgburn too :(

I checked the file with abgx and it verified no problem said everything was ok.

I then burned image to disc using imgburn and it failed at 11% the same percentage as clonecd.

the error message was "failed to read from file:DVD_ROM.ISO REASON: Data error (cyclic redundancy check)

please help thats now 11 ive only got a pack of 25 :(

Which brand of discs are you using? Don't waste your time with cheap media. Have you checked for a firmware update for your burner? I know it's new, but it may have shipped with slightly out of date firmware.

Check out the manufacturer's website to see if there's a new firmware. External burners and laptop burners do seem to be more problematic than regular internal burners though.

Here is a thread detailing this exact problem:

I use both IMGburn and CloneCD

ensure burn speed is set at 2.4, I have found that selecting higher speed will only work on very good discs..

when using any of these two programs make sure a DVD file is present..
the DVD file will, if opened with notepad say

LayerBreak=1913760
??????.iso (?????=name of game ISO file)

then report back

thanks for your help guys. i was burning at 2.4x speed. and they definately had a dvd file as abgx360 created it for me.

strange thing happened tho. after i posted on here about the error i had the option to click retry which i did and it just carried on burning like nothing had happened and now the new copy works fine??

Might want to run the disc through ABGX just to make sure nothing got messed up in the burn process.

good thinking i will do.

just out of interest. does using the laptop whilst burning the disc cause any problems?

Yeah dude, you shouldn't go near your pc/lappy while it's burning anything, could be causing the errors.

Everyone seems to use the Pioneer burners for 360 games too, I myself have a 112d and it works awesome.

It would be unlikely but maybe your sammy burner is a pos and can't handle the load?

Just update your firmware as advised, use verbatim, maybe even do a restart before you burn your iso and don't touch it while it's burning.

cheers for your help again. i have checked the game and it checked out fine with abgx. i then burnt another one and it burnt without a problem this time.
