I've just flashed my 360 samsung M25 drive to ixtreme 1.61 from 1.5 (the one that played HAWX) but it still won't boot any backup wave 4 games (or the activate.iso disk). I can still boot backup wave 3 games no problem.
I used iprep 10.7 with the updated idex(?) file so it recognised the 1.61 firmware and then used the half open disk try trick to unlock the drive.
I can only think of 3 things that could have gone wrong:

1. The drive was already running ixtreme 1.5 - did i need to restore to stock first?

2. I used the serial number from the 360 case - would this be different if i'd already flashed to 1.5? The video on Youtube shows Cofree doing the flash with a made up serial number and it still looks like it flashes so how would i know if i got wrong?

3. I was given the option to spoof the drive to M28 (i think) after flashing but i chose no (after a quick check on google).

Please help - i need to get some practice on MW2 before my mates get it!!

Are you sure your using a decent rip? I have had 2 dud copies which checked out in ABGX and failed to load of 1.6 with activate.iso and 1.61.

I've solved it!!! - Bad burns. To make it harder to work out i had bad burns on 2 different PCs (both bloody dells) and only when i tried a third (non dell) did it work. I even managed to patch GTAELC to wave 2 for my mate!
Now on to that war game sequel that i got banned from robinhoodsplayground for mentioning!?!
